<RANT mode=”on”> Well, here I am, preparing all the necessary bits for publishing on Steam is a lot of work, the grunt work nobody wants to do, but as this comes as a one-man team, I really cannot delegate, can I? So here I am, working on setting up everything necessary to have the game published and its related free test version up and running on Steam while setting up all the stats, achievements, leaderboards, and the like on EOS.
Also, writing and scheduling the publishing of these DevLogs posts is not the most exciting thing in a game development process, but at least it is better than all the rest of the setup stuff. It’s all very much needed, but please, guys, grant me some ranting time! 🤣 After all, life cannot all be what one likes to do (coding or playing guitar, in my case)… there is always something super-boring that needs our attention. </RANT mode=”off”>
So, I submitted to Epic the Brand Settings for review and allocated the two necessary Application IDs on Steam. I still have to work on the Epic Store presence, but it can wait now because they do not offer a user testing mode, so there is no rush to finish that part.
At least DALL-E helps with some of the web graphics, such as the image for this post, taking away some of the stress. 😎
